Hello lovely tribal folk,
For those of you thinking about Tribal Fest 9 and SF Mecca-Immersion just letting you know i found cheap flights to San Francisco with V Australia. They are a wonderful $500 approx plus around $400 in taxes. Its a direct flight to LA and then onto San Fran.

Thu, February 19, 2009 - 1:41 AMI sat staring at my computer for a good hour, reading over fine print and trying to figure out what the catch was before I booked mine :) Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that the exchange rate improves before then. -

Thu, February 19, 2009 - 5:13 AMMy Partner thought maybe they must be really old planes (ie there was very little chance we would actually make it there alive...:) but I researched that too...they are brand new planes!!
I'm yet to buy my tix (Soon) so hoping I wont miss out, but just wanted to share such glorious news.
Last time I went to san fran the exchange rate was US45c to the AU $1 AAaaah! So at least this is an improvement!

Sat, February 21, 2009 - 4:33 AMI'm flying out on June 27 (long after you leave Aus, I'm guessing) and returning on August 10. I'm flying with Air New Zealand and booked my tickets through the STA Travel website. I advise against flying with United (after three miserable long-distance flights with them), but Air NZ and Qantas both have good deals from Melbourne to San Francisco at the moment. -

I used to fly to the US with them every year, but their service is so appalling (and was worse for me after i was traveling with a child) that now i'm happy to go with ANY other airline, even if it's a few hundred dollars more. -

I'm buying my tickets next week and am going to try for the 8th. I'm flying back to Oz but will return for Mecca and then we are going to Pushkar from Nov till March!!! Aaaaaah. I'm feeling so blessed to be doing all these amazing things this year!!! Hope to see you in Pushkar also Giselle!

To make things even better (or worse, as far as money is concerned) I've come across some reasonably cheap flights to Hawai'i in time for Deb and Sharon's retreat in September and am trying to figure out if I can squeeze it in.
