Byron Bay tribalistas?

So, I've lived in San Francisco, then Toronto and now currently Melbourne. Lucky me I have been able to study and dance in each of these places (Fat Chance, The DarkSide & UnderBelly). I'm contemplating a move to the Byron area for the months of April and May and of course have to take the ability to train and dance into my decision process!

I've checked tribe and googled for info but can't find any consistent classes or troupes that live in Byron, or perhaps I'm missing something. I'm also considering teaching a month and bit if there is interest, just a basic tribal fusion class to teach the foundations, but am not sure as it will depend on how easily I find a good place to live and settle into life there for a couple of months.

Anyways, please let me know if you're in the area or can point me to a troupe, classes, new friends to practice with. I have studied ATS and tribal fusion for about 5 years now and am part of a troupe back in Toronto.

    HI Stephanie

check out Belinda (go through my friends) shes also known as lotus devi I think in myspace, she's been hosting various teachers incuding myself and Jacqueline Peperkamp from Tribal Jewels, and has been dancing with some friends for a little while now and have formed a group called Seraphim...it could be fate!

Good luck! Of course Bris Vegas is only a couple of hours drive too if we can tempt you :)

    Cheers
    Dee

Gosh..., I only live 30 mins from Byron and I didn't know about all this fabulousness that's going on there (Seraphim etc)!
There seems to be a delicious Tribal mini explosion going on around here at the moment.
There is a teacher certified in Gypsy Caravan who just started classes in Lismore and soon Byron called Delight. She's a beautiful passionate soul and I 'm hoping to start classes with her again soon.
There is definitely a need/calling for ATS/Tribal teachers in Lismore ( the Northern Rivers Conservatorium has some great dance studios for hire quite cheaply)
I guess what I'm trying to say is "Yes come and do classes!!!!!"

      Awesome! thanks for the details!

It looks like I will be there now for only the month of May, I have to do a visa run to NZ in April then a conference for work in Sydney... so realized it's just too much travel on top of finding a new home, so May it is.

I will certainly look for the troupes and people you've mentioned, thanks so much!
